Commondale is situated within The Sandbeck, a large, fully renovated seafront Victorian house located on Whitby’s West Cliff overlooking the beach and outer harbour. It proudly boasts the best apartments, studios and guest rooms in Whitby with the best sea views. Guests are offered a complimentary continental style breakfast of cereals, juices, tea, coffee, biscuits and yoghurts. The Space Commondale is a guest favourite with a beautiful, large open plan corner double room with sitting area, refreshment area and ensuite shower room. The room has a window facing the beach and a side window looking across to Whitby Abbey and St Mary’s Church. For your comfort it comes with a king-size bed. The sitting area has two comfortable tub chairs and coffee table, both facing a smart TV. It is a great place to put your feet up and relax after a day walking round Whitby. The refreshment area has a microwave, kettle, sink and fridge, while the En-suite shower room comes with a large shower, WC and wash basin. Guest Access Guests have access to the full room. The keys to Commondale can be collected from the reception desk at The Sandbeck. Pay & display car parking is available around Whitby. It is in a central location for the beach, harbour and many of Whitby’s attractions. It is a short walk to Captain Cook’s Monument and the Famous Whalebones overlooking the harbour. Walk a little further and down the Khyber Pass steps and you’ll be at the harbour and the quayside with all its amusements, cafes, bars and famous fish and chips shops and restaurants. Alternatively take a stroll along the West Pier and look back at your accommodation on the West Cliff. To the front is the path down to the Blue Flag West Cliff beach and the Whitby Pavilion with its many events. The town centre and all its shops, cafes and restaurants are close by.
