The Space The flat sits over a single level with modern interiors throughout and a real sense of space. The kitchen is small but well equipped, with all the basics you need for breakfast at home or a simple dinner in. The bedroom is a really lovely and spacious space, fitted with a queen-sized bed, ample storage, and a newly fitted en-suite bathroom with both a bath and a stand-in shower. The Neighborhood South Kensington is one of London's grandest and most liveable neighbourhoods. Wide garden squares, embassy residences, and some of the finest museums in the world sit alongside excellent local restaurants, delis and cafés. It is quieter and more residential than neighbouring Chelsea, while remaining minutes from everything. Cranley Gardens itself sits in a lovely pocket between South Kensington and the Fulham Road, with the shops and restaurants of both within an easy walk. Some notable resturants, cafes and parks/activities we recommend trying are: Parks: -Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, a short walk north, with the Serpentine, its two galleries and miles of open space -Victoria & Albert Museum, endlessly rich and one of the world's great museums -Natural History Museum, spectacular for both the building and the collections -Science Museum, an excellent afternoon out, particularly for families -Saatchi Gallery in nearby Chelsea, contemporary art with free entry For eating and drinking, you are exceptionally well placed:- -Bibendum, in the beautiful Michelin building on the Fulham Road, is a London institution for both its oyster bar and its dining room. -Daquise, the much-loved old Polish restaurant right by South Kensington station, is full of character and well worth a visit. -Launceston Place is a personal favourite for intimate, seasonal British cooking, while Daphne's offers warm, long-running Italian just off the Fulham Road. Around the corner, Bute Street has a distinctly continental feel, with good cafés, a French deli and somewhere to pick up coffee and pastries in the morning. Closer to home, the Anglesea Arms on Selwood Terrace is a genuinely excellent local pub, only a couple of minutes away, with a fine garden in summer. The Hereford Arms is another solid neighbourhood option. A short walk or quick bus south brings you onto the King's Road in Chelsea, one of London's best stretches for eating, drinking and shopping:- -The Ivy Chelsea Garden is ideal for a long lunch. -Bluebird is a beautiful spot for cocktails and dinner. -Gail's Bakery is a reliable neighbourhood staple. For shopping, Brompton Cross and the Fulham Road offer interiors and design, while the King's Road runs the full range from designer names to independent boutiques. Harrods and the wider Knightsbridge are ten to fifteen minutes away. Additional Information Please note that we provide small bottles of shampoo, shower gel, soap, moisturiser and loo roll for the beginning of all our guest stays and once the products are finished, we kindly ask our guests to provide their own thereafter. Please note the property will be prepared by our professional cleaners, using hotel-quality linen and towels. Please note that the dishwasher and freezer will be out of use until the plumbing works are completed. There is an ice maker provided as an additional amenity. Please note there are 6 steps down to the property's private entrance, and once inside, it is a single level. If the booking is 14 days or more, we require a mid-stay clean at an additional cost (the price is dependent on property size). Payment will be taken at the time of the booking and the mid-stay clean includes both a clean and linen change. We can also arrange any additional cleans regardless of the length of the booking upon request. Please note that check-in is between 3pm and 8pm. Early and late check-ins as well as late check-outs are available on request for an additional fee. Please note that check-ins after 8pm must require a personal check-in at an additional fee. Where a check in is on a UK bank holiday, there may be an additional surcharge on the cleaning fee as well as an additional cost for a personal check-in.
