Only a two-minute walk from the beach, you’ll be ideally placed to explore the stunning East Kent coastline. Despite its central location, the cottage enjoys a quiet setting, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day by the sea. Full of character and charm, Ethelbert Cottage also features an enclosed, south-facing courtyard—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or soaking up the afternoon sun. With everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay, it’s an ideal base for a coastal getaway. The Space Ethelbert Cottage is a lovingly decorated, home from home. With it's characterful interiors you can enjoy a romantic stay or solo trip in this quaint cottage. Featuring a living room with log burning fire, a dining area for enjoying home cooked meals, one double bedroom and a private bathroom with bath, overhead shower, WC and basin, you have everything you need for a peaceful stay away from home. In the warmer months, you can step outside and enjoy al-fresco dining in the private and peaceful patio area. Guest Access Guests have access to the full property. The keys are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay. Please note that due to the nature of the steep stairs within the property, it is not suitable for children. The Neighborhood Broadstairs is a charming coastal town in Kent,known for its beautiful sandy beaches and Victorian architecture. From leisurely beach days to exploring cultural and historical landmarks, Broadstairs offers a diverse range of experiences for all to enjoy. Broadstairs is widely known for its stunning beaches and boasts several sandy shores that are all individually wonderful. Viking Bay is the main beach and the perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. It also gained the Seaside Award 2023 which celebrates the best beaches in England. Viking Bay was also the holiday destination of choice for Charles Dickens and he even wrote a piece on the town itself named ‘Our English Watering Place’. There are other beaches such as Stone Bay and Joss Bay which are both as beautiful, yet offer a quieter atmosphere for a more relaxed seaside experience. Broadstairs offers opportunities for outdoor activities such as coastal walks along the cliffs, water sports and golf. The town is also part of the Viking Coastal Trail, a 32-mile walking and cycling route that explores the area’s scenic coastline.
