Looking for your own little hideaway in Richmond? Tucked away on the basement level with its own private entrance, this modern one-bedroom flat gives you a cosy home-from-home within easy reach of one of London’s loveliest areas. The Space Inside, you’ll find a bright open-plan kitchen, living and dining space with everything you need to cook, eat and put your feet up after a day exploring. The spacious double bedroom has plenty of storage and a comfy bed, while the modern bathroom gives you the best of both worlds — a proper bath for a long soak and an overhead shower when you actually have somewhere to be. Location-wise, you’re rather spoilt. The magnificent Kew Gardens and Kew Gardens Station are less than a 10-minute walk away, so you can spend the morning wandering among exotic plants and enormous glasshouses, then hop on a train and head further into London. Richmond itself is also packed with riverside walks, cafés, pubs and plenty of places to eat. A couple of important heads-ups before you book: there is no parking with the property, so this one is best suited to guests happy to embrace trains, buses and their own two feet. The flat is also accessed via stairs without a handrail, so please take extra care when heading up and down, particularly with luggage. The Neighborhood You certainly won’t be short of things to do in Kew. The headline act is the world-famous Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where you can wander through hundreds of acres of gardens, explore the spectacular glasshouses and discover more than 50,000 living plants. Even if you’re not normally excited by plants, Kew has a habit of changing people’s minds! For something a little more relaxed, wander down to Kew Green and the River Thames. Kew is brilliant for riverside walks, with the Thames towpath taking you towards Mortlake in one direction or Richmond in the other. Kew village itself is also worth exploring, with independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs dotted around the station and surrounding streets. A little further afield, Richmond Park is well worth a visit. It feels remarkably like escaping into the countryside despite still being in London, with huge open spaces, woodland walks and herds of red and fallow deer roaming the park. You can walk or cycle the Tamsin Trail, explore the beautiful Isabella Plantation or head up to King Henry’s Mound for views towards St Paul’s Cathedral. And when you’ve done enough sightseeing for one day, Richmond riverside is perfect for a wander, a meal or a drink overlooking the Thames. Between Kew Gardens, Richmond Park, riverside walks and plenty of good places to eat and drink, you could quite happily spend the whole stay exploring locally without venturing into central London at all.
